P.L.A.C.E.:
Today more than any other time in history, people have
more choices as to how to give their time. They find
themselves asking, "Where do I fit in?" "Why
am I here?" and "What can I do to make a lasting
difference in my life and the lives of others?"
PLACE is an intentional process to connect people into
purpose-driven ministry. Through the PLACE process,
people discover that God has created and gifted them
with a unique capacity to serve others.
The best way we can help you find your ministry is
through attending a PLACE Workshop. PLACE stands for:
P – Personality Discovery
L – Learning Spiritual Gifts
A – Abilities Assessment
C – Connecting Passion with Ministry
E – Experiences of Life
PLACE serves as our membership class for CT Church.

STEPHEN MINISTRY:
A program that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-on-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and our community.
Meets the needs of people...
There are times when each of us needs the care of another
person, a Christian friend, a Stephen Minister! These
needs include but are not limited to...
- The hospitalized
- The terminally ill and their families
- Those grieving a death or serious loss
- The homebound or institutionalized
- Prisoners, ex-offenders and their families
- Those with a job crisis
- The aging and elderly
- Those with disabilities and their families
- Those needing the support of a Christian friend
- Those facing transitions
- The separated and divorced
- Households experiencing birth or adoption
- Those in spiritual crisis
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry; those
receiving care can be sure that their identity and what
goes on in the caring relationship remain private. "Bear
one another's burdens and so fulfill the love of Christ."
Galatians 6:2. For more information
please contact Shirley Jackson at jackson.shirley@att.net.

FREEDOM IN JESUS:
Freedom in Jesus Ministries is a Bible based ministry relying on the supernatural power of God to see believers, as well as non-believers, set free from the strongholds of the enemy. By addressing the enemy and his strongholds through prayer, we are seeing victory in many lives.
"(4) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, (5) casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. " 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

WE CARE MINISTRY:
Although we live in an ocean of words, we rarely
acknowledge their power to uplift or put down, to inspire
or discourage, to help or hurt. The We Care Ministry
of CT is a ministry of words that offer hope, healing,
and encouragement. Through the We Care Ministry, a team
of volunteers sends get-well cards, sympathy cards and
encouraging messages to those who submit prayer requests
through the Connection Cards received on Sunday mornings.
If you would like more information or would like to
become involved in this important ministry, please
contact Susan Nordin at susan@ctchurch.tv.
Through your words, you’ll be giving a gift
that has no price.

NURSING HOME MINISTRY:
One of the most rewarding ministries is the
nursing home ministry. These saints are those who have
paved the way for us that we might be where we are today.
Through the nursing home ministry we take the time to
sit and listen to those individuals that live in nursing
homes as they share stories of when they were young
and some of the obstacles that they have overcome in
life.
We currently support two facilities. They are: Vista
Continuing Care in Pasadena (every 3rd Saturday from
10 AM to 11 AM) and The Waterford in Deer Park (every
Sunday afternoon from 2 - 3PM.) The residents always
enjoy when we minister through music, song, and teaching
of the Word. If you have musical talent, your participation
would be welcomed. If you would like to be involved
in this wonderful ministry opportunity, you may contact
Joe & Ruth Canniff at jcanniff@swbell.net
for more information.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Prison Ministry:
God, unlike the world, has always chosen to identify
closest with those who are isolated and broken. As an
act of service to Jesus Christ, the CT Prison Ministry
endeavors to transform the prison communities through
restorative change that comes only through a relationship
with Jesus Christ.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to
eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes
and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after
me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me . . .
I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”
(Matthew 25:35-36, 40).
While society may cast aside those people it deems
useless and unworthy, God continues to pursue them with
His steadfast love, offering forgiveness and restoration.
If you would like to be involved in the Prison Ministry
please contact Britt Brooks at bbrooks@ctchurch.tv.
